The Wharfedale Diamond IV is a classic bookshelf speaker, originally released in the late 1980s. Manufactured in the UK, these speakers were part of Wharfedale's well-regarded and accessible "Diamond" series. They offered impressive stereo imaging and a robust cabinet construction, making them suitable for smaller listening environments.

These two-way, bass-reflex speakers feature a rear-firing port. The driver configuration includes a 19mm metal dome tweeter for high frequencies and a 110mm mid/bass driver with a mineral-filled polymer cone. Their design allows for accurate sound reproduction within their compact form factor.

The Diamond IV is known for its detailed high frequencies and a more refined stereo soundstage compared to earlier models. While the midrange and bass are presented with tightness, they may sound less pronounced in the lower registers. Due to the rear port, optimal placement involves stand mounting or positioning on a solid surface, particularly in smaller rooms.
