The general cosmetic condition is fair. There is some markings on the right side of the unit and some marks/scratches. Please see images for further details.

This Sony MDS-JE530 MiniDisc deck offers a capable solution for both playback and recording, dating from around the year 2000. It is noted for its implementation of ATRAC DSP Type-R encoding, representing the most advanced iteration of Sony's standard MiniDisc compression technology, designed to maximise audio fidelity.

The unit features a 24-bit hybrid pulse converter for both analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue conversion, aiming for precise sound reproduction. A unique "Time Machine" buffer records up to six seconds of audio continuously, allowing for delayed recording of broadcast material.

Further enhancing its functionality, the MDS-JE530 includes pitch control for adjusting playback speed and digital level control with fade-in/fade-out options. Advanced editing capabilities are also present, enabling frame-accurate edits directly from the unit or its remote control.
