The Rogers LS3/5A is a highly regarded two-way bookshelf loudspeaker, originally developed in the 1970s for use in BBC outside broadcast control rooms. This compact design, featuring a sealed enclosure constructed from critically damped birch plywood, is celebrated for its outstanding midrange clarity and precise vocal reproduction.

Measuring 305 x 190 x 165 mm and weighing 4.9 kg, the LS3/5A utilises an 110 mm Bextrene cone for bass and midrange frequencies, complemented by a 19 mm dome tweeter. The crossover network employs high-grade, hand-soldered components. Its signature black Tygan cloth grille completes the classic aesthetic.

While its compact cabinet means it does not extend to deep sub-bass frequencies, the LS3/5A incorporates an intelligent mid-bass contour that delivers a warm, rich, and remarkably natural vocal presentation. It has a nominal impedance of 15 ohms and is best suited for amplifiers delivering between 30 and 80 watts.
