This is a 1.5-metre QED Silver Special 25th Anniversary Edition speaker cable, a highly respected model in the hi-fi world. Originally launched to celebrate QED's 25 years of audio innovation, it was recognised for offering high performance at an accessible price point. While superseded by newer models, this legacy cable remains sought after.

The construction features quad-bunched conductors made from silver-plated 99.999% Oxygen-Free Copper, arranged in a spiral lay to minimise signal loss. The cable has a distinctive Shimmer Pearl White jacket, allowing the woven silver strands to be seen.

The cable is fitted with QED Airloc Banana connectors. These employ a solder-free "cold-weld" crimping process, creating a high-pressure joint between the cable conductors and the plug. This method aims to eliminate air from the connection, preventing oxidation and ensuring a stable, low-resistance interface over time. The connectors feature a spring-loaded pin section for a secure fit in various 4mm sockets and are finished with 24ct gold plating.
