Built around the high-end ESS Sabre ESS9038Pro DAC chip, the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital can convert Hi-Res Audio signals up to 32-bit / 768kHz PCM or DSD512 (DoP) via its Type-B USB port. It also supports unfolding the latest MQA audio files and is certified Roon Ready. With additional Coaxial and Optical inputs, the DAC chip handles up to 24-bit / 192kHz data from external digital transports. The Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital excels with advanced technologies that achieve near-perfect technical performance.

Pro-Ject's proprietary Optimum Transient Digital Filter and complementary clock circuitry design reduce jitter to as low as 100 femtoseconds, ensuring the tightest and most accurate audio performance. The sound can be tailored to suit any listener's preference with seven built-in digital filters.

The internal layout of the Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital reflects far more expensive designs. Using polymer capacitors and thin-film miniMELF resistors, this technology fits into a small chassis.
