The unit has been tested and is in full working order. It is sold with a 3-month warranty.

The general cosmetic condition is very good, with some minor marks on the units. Please see the images for further details.

The Naim CDS is a highly regarded two-box CD player system, representing Naim's initial foray into digital audio playback upon its introduction in 1991. This pre-owned unit comprises the main CDS player and its accompanying NACDS external power supply, designed as a premium solution for discerning listeners.

Central to its design is the use of a Philips TDA1541A S1 Single Crown digital-to-analogue converter, coupled with a Philips CDM-4/25 top-loading transport mechanism. The player incorporates a spring-suspended sub-chassis to minimise mechanical vibrations affecting the playback circuitry and transport. A proprietary low-mass magnetic disc clamp is used to secure the CD.

The substantial NACDS power supply, housed in Naim's classic extruded aluminium casing, is a key component. It features a large toroidal transformer and multi-stage regulation, aiming to provide a clean and stable power source, effectively isolating the digital and analogue sections. Connectivity from the main unit to amplification is via Naim's established 5-pin DIN output.
