These M&K Sound K-4 speakers are designed to deliver an immersive surround sound experience for your home cinema setup. Their unique Tripole configuration combines direct-radiating drivers with out-of-phase dipole elements within a single enclosure. This approach aims to provide both accurate sound localisation and a broad, enveloping ambient soundstage, enhancing the realism of movie soundtracks.

The K-4 features a front-mounted 1-inch tweeter and a 4-inch mid-bass driver, sharing components with the M&K K-7 bookshelf model. Additionally, two 4-inch full-range drivers are situated on the side baffles. These are wired out of phase to contribute to the diffused surround effect. M&K's specialised crossover network is employed to ensure smooth frequency transitions between the different driver arrays, mitigating common issues found in conventional surround speakers.

The dipole drivers are designed to roll off around 300 Hz, with lower frequencies handled by the front mid-bass driver. This design allows for flexible placement, maintaining consistent tonal balance whether mounted on side or rear walls, or on brackets, making them particularly suitable for smaller to medium-sized home theatre environments. The cabinets are constructed from MDF with a textured matte film finish.
