The 209 provides full control over primary functions, including track selection for CD players, radio station presets, muting, and precise volume adjustment via its 64-step electronic attenuator. It also facilitates easy switching between up to eight different system inputs.

Constructed with a heavy-duty, die-cast metal chassis finished in black satin enamel, this remote offers a substantial feel compared to standard plastic units. Its button layout is designed to complement the aesthetic of the 200 Series equipment. It operates using standard RC5 infrared signals and is powered by a single 9V (PP3) battery.
