With 125 watts of power delivered to each of its nine discrete channels, the SR7009 offers substantial amplification. It is capable of processing up to 11.2 channels of audio, with outputs for 13.2, providing flexibility for system expansion with external amplifiers.

The receiver features the advanced Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction system, which includes Sub EQ HT for precise calibration of two subwoofers. Connectivity is comprehensive, with eight HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, including support for Zone 2. Integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Apple AirPlay are also included for convenient streaming.
