This player features a dedicated SACDM-3L transport for Super Audio CDs and standard compact discs. Complementing its disc playback, it incorporates HEOS technology for seamless access to a wide array of online music services and local network libraries. The Marantz SACD 30n also serves as a high-quality USB DAC and can operate as a digital preamplifier, allowing for direct connection to power amplifiers or active speakers.

At its heart, the Marantz SACD 30n utilises proprietary Marantz Musical Mastering (MMM) technology, upsampling PCM signals to DSD 11.2MHz and employing custom filters for precise analogue signal reproduction. Its audio circuitry benefits from Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAMs), which use discrete components for enhanced dynamic range and a characteristic warm sound. A substantial toroidal power transformer is also included to ensure a clean and stable power supply, minimising noise interference.
