This JVC XL-Z555 CD player is a premium component from the late 1980s, originating from JVC's respected Super Digifine series. Manufactured in Japan, it was designed for audiophiles and is recognised for its solid construction and musical sound reproduction.

The player utilises dual Burr-Brown PCM56P DACs, a 16-bit converter known for delivering a smooth listening experience. It offers a wide frequency response and excellent signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring clear and detailed playback of your CD collection.

Aesthetically, this unit is finished in black, and its front panel provides intuitive control over playback functions, including direct track selection and a useful display of the disc's full track list when idle. Connectivity is comprehensive for its time, featuring both coaxial and optical digital outputs, as well as variable and fixed analogue outputs. A synchronisation jack is also present for integration with compatible JVC cassette decks.
