The Goodmans Dimension 8 is a distinctive pair of vintage loudspeakers from 1971, designed by the renowned British audio company. These unique, bi-directional speakers feature a striking truncated-triangular prism cabinet. Their innovative design aims to produce an exceptionally broad stereo soundstage by utilising room reflections.

Each Dimension 8 cabinet houses a complex arrangement of nine drivers. This includes four active bass drivers, two mid-frequency drivers, and two high-frequency dome tweeters. For enhanced low-end performance, a substantial 12-inch passive radiator is mounted on the rear of each speaker.

The acoustic principle behind the Dimension 8 involves its bi-directional radiation. Drivers are positioned on angled side panels, rather than a conventional flat front. When placed parallel to a rear wall, the sound is directed to reflect off surrounding surfaces, creating an immersive listening experience. These substantial floorstanding speakers are characterised by their geometric shape and considerable weight.
