The Fosi Audio ZH3 is a versatile desktop audio component, functioning as a balanced DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier. It is designed to serve as a central hub for your audio setup, capable of powering headphones or managing active speakers and amplifiers.

This device utilises a high-quality internal architecture. A core component is the AKM AK4493SEQ DAC chip, complemented by an XMOS XU316 USB processor for high-resolution audio decoding. The amplification stage employs four TI OPA1612 operational amplifiers within a balanced circuit design.

The ZH3 supports high-resolution audio formats, including PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and Native DSD512. It offers ample power to drive a wide range of headphones, from sensitive in-ear monitors to high-impedance models (16Ω–300Ω). The unit also features 12V trigger ports for synchronised power control with compatible amplifiers.
