Hailing from Germany, it established itself as a favoured entry-level option for audiophiles, often found as part of classic budget hi-fi systems.

The turntable incorporates a suspended sub-chassis design, where the platter, tonearm, and top plate are mounted on a spring-isolated platform. This construction helps to minimise the impact of external vibrations and footfall, contributing to more stable playback.

Operation is semi-automatic: the platter begins to spin upon cueing the tonearm, and at the record's conclusion, the tonearm is automatically lifted and the motor stopped. It also features a pitch control system for fine-tuning playback speed.
