The Chord Company Chrysalis is a respected analogue audio interconnect cable, particularly favoured by owners of Naim Audio and Quad equipment. This discontinued model, originally launched in 1984, was the very first interconnect produced by The Chord Company. It was developed to provide a high-quality solution for connecting standard audio sources to Naim amplifiers via a DIN input.

The cable incorporates the same copper wiring previously used in Naim's own "lavender/grey" interconnects, ensuring compatibility with Naim's amplifier designs. It is recognised for its musical reproduction, precise timing, and balanced sound signature, often considered a preferred option over later Chord models by some listeners.

It is important to note that this cable is directional. The 5-pin DIN connector is wired specifically for either connecting a source component (CD player, streamer, DAC, phono stage) to an amplifier with a DIN input (RCA-to-DIN), or for outputting audio from an amplifier with a DIN output to a device with RCA inputs (DIN-to-RCA). Please ensure you select the correct configuration for your system.
