The Bowers & Wilkins PV1D is an active subwoofer that builds upon the acclaimed design of its predecessor. It features a distinctive spherical enclosure, engineered for exceptional rigidity and minimal internal vibration, ensuring a clean and controlled bass output. This model incorporates digital processing for enhanced tuning capabilities.

Inside the PV1D, a 400-watt Class-D amplifier powers two 200mm (8-inch) long-throw drivers. These drivers are arranged symmetrically, facing outwards and working in opposition. This configuration is designed to counteract internal forces, resulting in a stable enclosure that remains inert even during demanding playback.

The inclusion of digital signal processing allows for precise calibration. Users can select from various EQ presets, optimising the subwoofer's performance with different speaker setups or room acoustics. All connections are discreetly located on the base of the unit for a tidy installation.
