These Bowers & Wilkins DM12's are a pair of classic British-made bookshelf loudspeakers, produced in the early 1980s. They were designed by B&W to deliver professional monitor quality sound in a compact enclosure, making them ideal for smaller listening spaces where larger cabinets would be impractical. The DM12 features a two-way, sealed cabinet design. Within the enclosure, a 150mm mid-bass driver with a Bextrene cone works in tandem with a 26mm polyester weave dome tweeter to reproduce the audio signal. This combination aims to provide accurate sound reproduction across a wide frequency range. With a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms, these speakers are suitable for a range of amplifiers. Their sensitivity rating indicates they perform best with amplification that can provide a good amount of power to achieve optimal volume levels.
