A key highlight of this amplifier is its highly capable internal phono stage, which supports both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges, providing excellent performance for vinyl enthusiasts. The design prioritises a clean signal path, featuring minimalist internal wiring with all components mounted directly to a single main circuit board.

The 8000A offers versatility with its pre-power flexibility. Dedicated RCA sockets allow it to be used solely as a preamplifier or, conversely, as a standalone power amplifier by bypassing its internal pre-amplification section. The front panel provides intuitive controls, including an input selector, balance control, and a headphone output. Tone controls for bass and treble are included but can be bypassed for a purer audio signal.
