The Arcam FMJ CD37 is a high-fidelity stereo player designed for both standard CDs and Super Audio CDs (SACDs). As the former flagship model in Arcam's FMJ series, it was recognised for its ability to deliver an expansive and detailed soundstage, complemented by its native DSD decoding for SACD playback. This player represents a significant achievement in Arcam's digital audio component history.

Built with audiophile principles in mind, the CD37 incorporates dual Wolfson 8741 DACs, capable of pure, native DSD conversion for SACD material. Its power supply utilises two toroidal transformers, which are kept separate to isolate digital and analogue circuitry and prevent signal interference.

The player's construction features a damped "Sound Dead Steel" chassis with a substantial aluminium front panel, designed to minimise physical and mechanical vibrations that could affect sound quality. Arcam also integrated its "Mask of Silence" EMI suppression strategy, along with a special "Stealth Mat," to diffuse electromagnetic interference.
